On Sunday, December 26, 2010 Pastor Savior Powell Barbu who served the Lord as a steward of the cross at Refuge for over three years was blessed and released to follow the calling of God upon her life. She was blessed along with her family.

Pastor Barbu served the Refuge Baptist Church as the Pastor for Christian Worship for over two years; a position she held before her departure. She is presently working with the United People Church of God in Southwest Philadelphia.

Pastor Tomah Y. Duncan has served the Refuge Baptist Church for over three years. She has served faithfully in the position of Pastor For Spiritual Formation. Through the leading and inspiration of God she began a fellowship (Spirit of Hope Ministries International) on January 17, 2010 with the support and help of her husband Pastor Augustus Duncan.

On January 31, 2010 she and her family will be blessed and released to do the work to which the Lord has called them.
